Voice of the Street – Keith Haring’s Subway Drawings (From 18th March 2026)
This major new exhibition will feature 29 original subway works by Keith Haring. Created in New York City during the 1980s, these chalk drawings, executed on blacked-out subway advertising panels, mark the beginning of Haring’s rise in the art world.
Spontaneous and meaningful, Haring’s drawings introduced instantly recognisable symbols that would later be featured in his renowned murals, defining a global movement. A firm believer that ‘art is for everyone’, Haring’s practice democratised art and brought creativity directly into a public and ordinary space. Moco’s mission embraces these values and constructs this exhibition to spread his message and invite visitors to spark reflection and challenge conventions.
This exhibition will incorporate authentic references to the 1980s New York City subway, transforming the museum into an atmospheric experience.
